As well as pre-ordering lunch via QkR to be delivered to their classroom, students can use cash to buy snacks, drinks and ice blocks over the counter during the lunch break – this is the highlight of the week for many students!
The canteen is run entirely by volunteers, which helps keep the prices down. All parents are encouraged to volunteer in the canteen – we need lots of them to keep things running! It’s easy work and your child will be SO proud to see you there. Volunteers are needed each Thursday from 9am-12pm; no experience is required. Click here to register your interest in volunteering.
Orders must be placed by each Wednesday at 9am (for lunch on Thursday).
All unch orders must be made via the online QkR (pronounced ‘Quicker’) by Mastercard system. Click here for details on how to use QkR.
Students can still use cash to purchase snacks etc. over the counter during the lunch break.
In an effort to reduce the waste created by disposable bags, the canteen encourages students who regularly order their lunch to purchase a re-useable lunch bag via QkR for $8.
Special diets / allergies
Most diets are catered for within the existing menu and the canteen does not use any foods banned from the school due to student allergies. If you would like to discuss special requirements or allergies, get in touch via firstname.lastname@example.org
As the population of our new school grows, we hope to open the canteen on more days of the week and have the service coordinated by a professional operator, with support from parent volunteers.
