The “Parents and Citizens Association” (P&C) is a group of parents, carers and local residents who volunteer their time and skills to help the Victoria Avenue Public School (VAPS) community.
Key ways our P&C contribute are:
Coordinating services such as the canteen, uniform shop and Walking School Bus
Driving fundraising activities
Organising community building events
Acting as a liaison between the school and parents
We are incredibly proud of what we have achieved at our relatively young and new school. Click to find out what we got up to in 2018, 2017 and 2016.
The P&C hold monthly meetings which all in the VAPS community are invited to attend. The P&C Executive Committee are voted for annually at the Annual General Meeting held in Term 1 each year. Click here to view the current leaders.
Many of the initiatives driven by the P&C require volunteer helpers. We encourage all VAPS parents and carers to get involved – not only is it an important contribution to the school community, but it’s a great way to meet other local families.
